This is SCS's arrangement of the song "Hey, Soul Sister" as heard on our debut album UnPractice Makes Perfect. It is based on the arrangement we used on The Sing-Off, but expanded to include the whole song, plus a few extra fun bits.
- Song Title: Hey, Soul Sister
- Album: UnPractice Makes Perfect
- Key: E-flat
- Voicing: CTTBarB*
*Notes on Voicing
Other than the usual S for Soprano, A for Alto, T for Tenor, Bar for Baritone, and B for Bass, we often use C for Countertenor. Some, usually all-male, groups refer to this as "High Tenor" or less often as the more generic "Falsetto." This part can usually be handled by a good Alto/Alto section, or even Sopranos depending on the arrangement.
